CONCEPTUAL ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
spaces that speak

These 2 projects are where my love for design, history, people  and materials come together. Each concept tells a story, exploring how spaces can feel alive—how textures, light, and forms can shape emotions and experiences. It’s a glimpse into how I approach design: thoughtful, curious, and always inspired by the soul of a place.

Theatrescape Society is a conceptural project that reimagines the theatrical experience in Lewes, transforming it into a dynamic, inclusive urban common. This innovative concept challenges traditional theatre norms by creating an "urban backstage" where the process of creation becomes the main event. Housed in the repurposed Friends Meeting House, the space invites everyone to participate actively in the theatrical journey, blurring the lines between performers and audience.

ROAST & RUINS

This  conceptual project located in a 19th-century deconsecrated chapel in Newhaven, Roast & Ruins intertwines sustainable design with social reintegration. This Training Coffee Roastery offers ex-offenders the opportunity to rebuild their lives, providing skills in coffee roasting and barista work to reconnect them with the Brighton & Hove and Lewes community.

At its core is a design that evolves with time: rammed earth walls incorporate coffee grounds waste from the roastery and café, changing and growing as they become part of the building’s fabric. Reclaimed coffee pods form semi-transparent curtains, adding depth and sustainability to the space, also getting longer wiht time.

A living, breathing design that mirrors personal and structural transformation, Roast & Ruins is a place where second chances and community flourish.

A sanctuary of second chances, where design, material, and purpose align.
